Title: Purple Network Eaters: Live IT Security Attack and Defense
This is a two-part series!
Overview: This session will demonstrate “live” network attacks from two perspectives: The attacker and the defender. The attacker will show the steps they go through to from targeting to exfiltration. The defender will demonstrate how to defend against these attacks. Attendees will leave the presentation equipped with free solutions and configurations that they can take back to their bank.

Title: Branch Transformation
Presenter: Banker’s Equipment Service and HTG Architects
Overview: Utilize ‘Branch Transformation Systems’ to help optimize branch costs, increase efficiencies using technology and improve the customer experience through multi-channel deliveries.
Branch transformation does not mean that your branches are 100 percent technology driven and automated. A branch transformation strategy can be as simple as changing the experience of banking for your customers. Allow technology to eliminate the mundane and traditional methods of banking for your staff, so that they can concentrate on the customers’ needs and provide an exceptional customer experience.

Title: Lending Strategies - Loan Participations and the State of Correspondent Lending
Presenter: United Bankers’ Bank
Overview: In this session, Jack Youngberg, UBB’s Vice President of Lending, discusses the increasing competition from non-banks with an emphasis on the FinTech influence. Due the challenges posed from FinTechs, as well as other factors, the banking industry has seen a decline in the number of commercial bank charters. To resolve this challenge, Jack will present strategies to effectively manage loan participations and thereby increase profits and diversify loan portfolios.
Title: Vendor Management Programs for the Community Bank
Presenter: Winthrop & Weinstine, PA
Overview: An effective vendor contract management system will save you money, make your bank more productive and improve that tricky enterprise risk management score on your exam. This presentation will outline a comprehensive vendor management system you can implement at your community bank. We will discuss vendor selection and negotiation processes, outline review protocols and risk assessment, and conclude by walking through a dynamic inventory you can use to provide senior management instant visibility into the bank’s core agreements. The presentation will also touch on some high–level vendor negotiation tips and discuss the vendor management system’s application to your bank’s treasury agreements.
Showcase your solution at the premier community banking
expo in the Midwest.
Today’s bankers face a wide range of challenges from the ever-changing landscape of regulation, technology, and competition. So, we’re expanding the focus on our bi-annual expo to bring community bankers together with a broader range of solution providers.
While the expo will still offer opportunities to meet with technology-focused companies, we’ve designed CONNECT to be your low-stakes, high-return-on-investment opportunity to interact with companies that can solve any of your community bank’s pain points.
The show is open to bankers in Minnesota and surrounding states. Companies that deliver products and services to banks are encouraged to exhibit at the show.
Known as the TechXpo in 2017, the event brought together more than 70 banks and over 250 bankers. We featured 50 exhibitors at the event.
