The LEAD (Leadership Education And Development) Conference provides the opportunity to cultivate talented bank staff who have future leadership potential. The event focuses on preparing emerging leaders for the next steps in their banking careers. Attendees will:
  • Learn how their roles fit into the larger context at their bank.
  • Receive tips on leadership development.
  • Hear perspectives on how to make a positive impact at any level in an organization.
  • Build valuable industry connections.

11:15 am: Registration & Lunch

12:00 pm: Welcome

12:10 pm: Arthur Hill | Keynote | Managing Me

Most people struggle keeping up with the flood of “stuff” in their world that far exceed their mental and emotional capacities. All those e-mails, phone calls, meetings, and commitments create stress, worry, and guilt, and they cause you to lose track of your goals and greatly reduce your productivity. This workshop takes the latest research about personal productivity, makes it practical, and creates an engaging experience that helps people apply the life-changing principles.

1:20 pm: Banker Panel

Past LEAD attendees will speak to the importance of community banking and share professional perspectives.

3:10 pm: Team Building Activity

3:30 pm: Bethany von Steinbergs | Keynote | Making Sense of StrengthsFinder®

Have you heard the terms positive psychology, asset-based thinking, or talent engagement floating around your
professional environment? Has someone asked you if you know your “Strengths”? During this educational session
Bethany will provide an introduction to the history and philosophy of CliftonStrengths®/StrengthsFinder®
and its application within a group context.

4:30 pm: Day One Conclusion

5:00 pm: Happy Hour & Vendor Showcase

6:00 pm: Dinner and Evening Social | Game Show Night (Complimentary Dinner & Drinks)

7:15 am: Breakfast

8:00 am: Bethany von Steinbergs | Keynote | Strengths Education Session

Bethany will reengage participants, building off learning from the previous session. You will deepen your personal
understanding of all 34 Themes of Strength and the 4 Domains through shared educational experience and
collective, strengths-based conversations to promote self-understanding. You’ll be blown away by the “ahas” you have during this session and will leave with introductory steps for applying your Strengths.

11:30 am: Matt Havens | Keynote | Stop Acting Your Age!

In this keynote, you’ll learn a simpler way of looking at your own generational picture, and you’ll also learn how to understand, recognize, and resolve generational issues facing today’s workforce. You’ll walk away with all of the
knowledge you’ll need to address the generational issues you’ll face for the rest of your career. Other generational
presentations focus on what people want, and on the reasons why everyone wants different things. It’s an important distinction, and it will make implementing new solutions easier than you ever thought possible.

12:30 pm: Conference Conclusion & Boxed Lunch
